The bass fish is commonly identified as a black fish, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass are other types of bass fish. Actually bass fishing originated and came from the US. Anglers back in the day would fish for bass to put food on the table but today bass fishing evolve into a sport.

Back in the 50's, the sport of bass fishing became extremely popular. Technology like GPS and boats have taken the sport fishing to a whole new level and the evolution of fishing gear has been drastically improved far from its humble beginnings.

You can get a lot of fancy fishing such as lures, rods, reels and lines in the market today. The bass fishing sport has generated a lot of money over the years and will continue to do so.

The bass fishing is no longer considered food but a sought after prize as mentioned earlier. Catch and released are term in sport fishing where caught fish will be released after being caught. The fish must be alive and weighted and then released immediately back in to the water as dead fish will not be counted to add your score. Some caught fish which under any stress will be placed in a holding tank for treatment and then released after recovery from the stress.

The first and the foremost from bass fishing guides, you will need a fishing map and you must be able to read and understand it. After that it would be a lot easier to trace the fish. Another thing you should know and understand is water depth because you will also need clear water to fish.

As additional, understanding the temperatures that these types of fish populated in and like anything else there will be seasonal variances. Shallow water and deep water, counters, vegetation were factors you will need to consider in order to catch the bass fish. If you have master all of these then the game will be yours.
