Pack the Right Ice Fishing Gear

Success or failure while ice fishing depends on the
right gear we used. When you are going to be success in ice
fishing trips you need to pack the right
ice fishing gear and also bring along the right friends.
Ice fishing gear come in variety and you can bring along more than just the basic essentials. Some of the
ice fishing gear that you need:
- You need clothes that can give you warm and comfortable when using them
- Hand warmers and gloves are needed because when you pull a fish through the ice your hands are going to be freezing cold
- Snow shoes and thick warm boots, depend on the location and how you will be getting to the location
- Pack extra socks, you might be need them as they can give you warm and dry
- A fishing rod or two with sensitive tips but still have some strength just in case you haul in the big one
- Bring some good line, 4 to 8 pound test is usually a good fit
- Some kind of bait such as worms or crappie minnows are definitely very needed
- Bring hooks and jig spoons to help you catch more fish if you need them
- If you don’t have a proper ice fishing rig you can bring along a bobbers which lets you know when the fish make strike
- Make sure to bring along some minor tools to remove hooks, cut the lines or anything else you might need them for
- An ice scoop is required to remove any ice that forms in the hole that you have cut with the ice saw or the auger
- You are definitely need a chair or something else to sit
- A big bucket works good because you can haul your gear out in it and use it to haul you catch back home when you are done
- Don’t forget to bring extra food and beverage
- Sun glasses to protect your eyes from the glare of the ice and snow
